Rudrapur is located in the north of the most densely populated country on earth. Poverty and lack of infrastructure push many people from the countryside to the cities. The local NGO Dipshikha tries to follow new paths with its development program, the intention is to give perspectives to the rural population and to help people know the value of the village. The school is part of this program aimed at giving children self-confidence, independence and a sense of identity. We wanted to connect the villagers, pupils and teachers with the project. Traditional construction techniques have been adopted, earth and bamboo are existing and inexpensive local materials that have excellent qualities to cope with the subtropical climate but above all everyone has been involved in the construction of the new school. Not just technicians, but those who live it. If this link is missing, any construction is unsustainable.
