Koichi Takada belongs to a new generation of Japanese architects who work on the idea of bringing nature back into the urban environment by exploring organic forms close to living ones. In March 2019 he completed the construction of a spectacular interior inserted in the new National Museum of Qatar designed by Jean Nouvel. Made of laminated wood, it is clearly inspired by the caves that the wind digs in the desert rocks where the light rains from above. “More than 40,000 individual pieces of European oak from sustainable sources produced in Italy and designed with 3D modeling software, are placed in numbered order in a steel structure. We worked in harmony with Jean Nouvel's complex architectural project, inspired by the desert rose. Like the building, the space is inspired by the desert landscape of Qatar. "
